After the Makushita Division matches, the Juryo Division wrestlers performed the ring-entering ceremony. Then it was comedy time with two young wrestlers performing various comical antics (spitting at each other, kicking, and other illegal sumo acts) on the ring. Next was exhibition matches by the Juryo wrestlers which started at noon.

| Juryo is the second highest division. On the right is Sentoryu, an American from St. Louis, Missouri. His real name is Henry Armstrong Miller. He was born to an African-American father and Japanese mother. |
