Story and photos by Philbert Ono

A sumo hairdresser demonstrates how the topknot is made. By coincidence, lending his hair is Asashoryu, a Mongolian who later became the second foreign yokozuna.

After Akebono's dohyo-iri, they filled the time with a hairdressing demo and sumo jinku.

They are singing sumo jinku, a chant-like song about sumo and sumo wrestlers. They are singing about Akebono, led by Daiki at the center.
